Iron Hornet LLC respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices available to you when you visit our websites, contact us, or use our products and services (collectively, the "Services").
01 Scope
This policy applies to information collected through ironhornet.com and related pages, our intake and assessment forms, communications with us, and the operation of our hardware and software products. It does not apply to third-party websites, products, or services that we do not control, even if they link to or from our Services.
02 Information we collect
We collect information in the following ways:
Information you provide
- Contact and intake details — name, company, title, email, phone number, and site address when you request a demo, submit a site assessment, or otherwise contact us.
- Site and facility information — facility type, acreage, perimeter details, operating hours, security challenges, and any files, photos, or notes you choose to upload.
- Correspondence — the contents of emails and messages you send us.
Information collected automatically
- Device and usage data — IP address, browser type, operating system, referring pages, and interactions with our website, collected through standard logs and similar technologies.
- Cookies and similar technologies — as described in the Cookies & analytics section.
Information from product operation
- Operational and sensor data — when our products are deployed at a customer site, they may capture video, imagery, and sensor readings, and generate analytics. This data is generally processed on behalf of our customers as described in the Video & sensor data section.
03 How we use information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, maintain, and improve the Services;
- Respond to inquiries, prepare site assessments, and deliver demos and proposals;
- Communicate with you about products, services, updates, and events you may be interested in;
- Monitor and analyze usage, trends, and performance;
- Detect, investigate, and prevent fraudulent, unauthorized, or illegal activity, and protect the rights, property, and safety of Iron Hornet, our customers, and others;
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.
05 Video & sensor data
Our products are designed to support security and operational use cases. When deployed, they may record video, still imagery, and sensor data within a customer's premises.
Customer-controlled data. For data captured by deployed systems on a customer's site, the customer is generally the controller of that data and is responsible for its lawful use, including any required notices and signage. Iron Hornet processes such data on the customer's behalf under the terms of the applicable customer agreement.
Our systems are engineered to focus on vehicles, objects, and perimeter activity rather than the identification of individuals. Where our Services involve personal information, we apply reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate to its sensitivity.
07 Data retention
We retain information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, including to provide the Services, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it. Retention periods for customer-operated data are governed by the applicable customer agreement.
08 Security
We maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping any credentials you use with the Services confidential.
09 Your rights & choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal information, such as the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict certain processing, or to opt out of certain communications.
- Marketing emails. You can opt out of marketing messages by following the unsubscribe instructions in the email. We may still send you non-promotional, service-related communications.
- Requests. To exercise a privacy right, contact us using the details in the Contact us section. We may need to verify your identity before responding, and we will respond consistent with applicable law.
We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.
10 Children's privacy
Our Services are intended for businesses and individuals who are at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
11 International transfers
We are based in the United States and process information there. If you access the Services from outside the United States, you understand that your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction.
12 Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be communicated through the Services or by other appropriate means. Your continued use of the Services after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
